Translucent watercolor paintings by Dyann Joyce Callahan within the last 4 years.
I work in many mediums, but I do have a passion for the unpredictable side of watercolor! I am not so much brand loyal, as I have favorite colors in each it seems! My main workhorses are the Qor paints mixed with Daniel Smith Primatek (crushed minerals) and/or the Schminke supergranulating sets. The watercolors featured at the Morrison Gallery when I won my solo Artist of the Year Central Kentucky Art Guild (2023) show and ribboned at the huge entry of the Kentucky State Fair included Koi and Holbein, and Winsor and Newton sets.
